Responsible for planning activities for the layout of equipment and production facilities. Conducts studies to determine the best sequence of operations and workflow. Suggests methods to ensure the maximum utilization of facilities and human resources. Prepares cost estimates for assigned projects. Directs the activities of support personnel. Performs other miscellaneous assignments, as directed, to support facility, manufacturing and engineering functions. Accountabilities Investigates project/capital equipment proposals, develops justification, prepares request for expenditure, acquires equipment, installs equipment and ensures that justification goals are achieved. Ensures the availability of assembly and test fixtures to support new products, product redesigns and customer requirements. Ensures that all test equipment is in compliance to Flowserve's Pressure Directive Policy. Successful candidate must have a proven track record of leading and driving productivity improvements in a manufacturing environment utilizing Continuous Improvement Methodologies (i.e. Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma). Generates and documents cost savings that meet or exceed established targets. Specifies and acquires factory supplies that reduce costs and improves effectiveness. Trouble shoots processes and equipment minimizing delays in production schedules. Maintains tooling and fixture drawing system as necessary Produces part and assembly routings. Assists with development of the profiEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
