ROLE SUMMARY Technician for the Distribution Center is a very dynamic, fast-paced role. The Technician's primary responsibility will be performing product reconfiguration and assembly of different types of products including, but not limited to, valve positioners, limit switches, actuators and various types of valves. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Configure valve positioners and limit switches to specification Perform actuator modifications including spring, seal and fail direction Light reconfiguration of various valve types Evaluate and document results from RMA's. Technician customer support both through email and phone to troubleshoot products. Support Inside Sales team for technical questions on products. Perform functional testing on valves, actuators, valve positioners and limit switches and record test data per Flowserve's internal procedures Labeling of product with accuracy Resolve problems with the right level of initiative, collaboration, and perseverance to satisfy requests while following procedures. Communicate status and issues with the Planning, Shipping/Receiving, and Customer Service Teams Support Material Handling with shipping, receiving as well pick and pack orders when necessary Ensure inventory levels are accurate through cycle counting and/or annual counts Respond professionally and accurately to all requests, or correctly refer requests to the responsible party within the organization. Responsible for working on Distribution Center related projects as requested and with minimal assistance. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Minimum of a High school diploma/GED, 2-year technical degree in instrumentation or the like preferred 3
years relevant experience in valves and/or actuation, positioners and limit switches High mechanical aptitude Lifting or pushing up to 50 pounds may be required Strong attention to detail Must be able to multitask quickly, without missing steps or dropping tasks, while meeting deadlines with minimal supervision Exhibit behavior that encourages team building, decision-making, problem-solving and continuous improvement. Communicate clearly and work professionally with customers and colleagues. Flexible, able to change priorities based on demands.
